Community Remembrance: Honouring VE Day at Beacon Hall

On Thursday 24th May, the Peasedown St John War Memorial Trust was offered a stall at the Parish Council’s VE Day event.

Various village groups came together and created displays to remember those who gave their lives in World War II.

Szymon Talkowski from our group donated a 1940s motorbike, which was placed outside Beacon Hall at the entrance.

We raised £354.00 towards the memorial and would like to thank everyone who visited us and showed their support for our cause.

We heard many moving stories from residents who shared their memories of family and loved ones.
