A Big Thank You!
Some kind words of support and generous donations.

“Every morning, I walk down the stairs and prepare coffee. While sipping my coffee, I pet my dogs and observe the birds in the garden. This simple routine is possible because of the sacrifices made by those who came before me. They fought for my right to live and breathe freely. These individuals, some of whom made the ultimate sacrifice, deserve our eternal remembrance.
That is why I am currently supporting and collaborating with an exceptional group of individuals who are working to erect a new monument in our village. This monument will honour all individuals, past, present, and future, who have paid the ultimate price to protect our freedoms.
The PSJ Warm Memorial Trust is composed of an extraordinary group of individuals who have united for a common cause. They freely dedicate their time and energy to this endeavour. Every day, they strive to ensure that the sacrifices of those who came before us are never forgotten. I will continue to work with them to achieve this goal. I hope that everyone will join me in expressing our gratitude to Jennifer, Colin, Sheila, Howard, Szymon, Alan, and all those who have made such a profound impact on our lives.
Thank you all”

Ward Councillor Peasedown Saint John

In beautiful weather on the 19th of May 2025 The Chair and Treasurer of the Peasedown St. John War Memorial Trust, Jennifer Lewis Mason and Howard Hartley, met with representatives of Frome and East Somerset Conservative Association to receive a donation of £500 towards the Peasedown St. John War Memorial fund.
Association Treasurers Calvin Bird and Andy Larcombe, Chairman Claude Atkinson and Royal Navy veteran Lucy Trimnell were delighted to make this donation on behalf of the association to help this very worthy cause get closer to their fundraising objectives and wish them all the best to achieve their target.
We are only too aware for the sacrifices made by so many during both the First and Second World Wars as well as in other conflicts since such as the Falklands, Gulf Wars and the War in Afghanistan. It is so important that every village and town has a place to gather for the simple act of remembrance at all times of the year, but particularly on the 11th of November. This is why we were so keen to make this donation and play our part in helping the people of Peasedown St John have a monument to remember those who fought and those who did not come home.
